Friends of the family

On September 4 2006, we went to the Mount Madonna county park with Neil, Stacy, and Asher. It’s a really nice park with white deer, redwoods, and great picnic areas. We had lots of fun sharing a picnic, hiking, and feeding banana to the deer.
Small baby, big tree.
Very, very big tree.
Jacob “climbs” the tree, with Jon’s help.
Post-picnic Jacob
“I am baby boy, fear my dirt!”
He had lots of fun playing with sticks. Of course Jon gave him the biggest stick we could find.
A very dashing Asher.
Note the absolutely pristine white pants. (Stacy is a goddess, or at the very least has the help of one, to keep them white.)
Jacob bringing his dirt over near Asher’s white pants.
“Cuddle me.”
Happy baby
Playing with mom is of course the most fun.
Jacob decides to take a little nap at the base of the big tree.

Chocolate-covered baby!
Jacob, approximately 2 seconds after I cleaned his face off. Note fresh chocolate smears.
Asher checking out the interesting scenery.
Jacob loves his back-pack carrier. I wish we’d purchased it months ago!
Very happy Jacob, talking to himself and anyone else who will listen.

This signpost confused all of us. Then Stacy had a flash of brilliance.
Asher didn’t get the joke, though.
After a long hike, a baby’s gotta sleep.
And a toddler’s gotta drink.
Punk rock baby
Like father, like son?
This is just waiting for his first rock-n-roll album cover.
